Since joining Daman in 2016, he has spearheaded the firm’s transformation, driving profitability and expansion. He also serves on multiple boards spanning finance, technology, education, and healthcare.

Prior to this, he spent 7 years at Ernst & Young, focusing on assurance and advisory engagements across sectors, with strong expertise in IFRS compliance.

With over 20 years in finance and 8 years in virtual assets, he has held senior roles at Jefferies, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and Credit Suisse. Prior to Daman Virtual, he co-founded and exited one of the region’s leading institutional crypto platforms. Ahmed works closely with global regulators and is recognised as a regional leader in fintech and digital assets.

With over 22 years of experience in cybersecurity and more than a decade in blockchain, Shah Sheikh is a recognised authority in securing digital ecosystems. He co-founded DTS Solution, later acquired by Beyon Cyber (part of Batelco/Mumtalakat), and played a key role in building institutional crypto platforms in the region. He is also part of the security consortium supporting the UAE Central Bank’s CBDC project.
